February 20, 2006 * Christine Thelen Burbank, 95, of Minoa, passed away Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born in Syracuse and was a homemaker. Christine was a devout Catholic and a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Minoa. She enjoyed having her family over every Sunday for dinner and games. Survivors: her husband of 76 years, Ralph; her children, Selma (Louis) Carfarchio of East Syracuse, Skip (Jan) Burbank of Kirkville, Margery Mozo of Kirkville, Toni (Jack) Cassella of Minoa and Rita (Dutch) Ducharme of Baldwinsville; 31 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services: 9:15 a.m. Thursday from Eaton-Tubbs-Schepp Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Minoa. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. Contributions: St. Mary's Church, 401 North Main St., Minoa, NY 13116. The Burbank family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph's Hospital floor 2-5 for their loving care of Christine.

May 22, 2006 * Ralph S. Burbank, 102, of Minoa, passed away Monday at The Crossings. He was born in Syracuse and retired from the New York Central Railroad in 1969 after 47 years of service. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Minoa. Ralph was a former scoutmaster in East Syracuse and a columnist for the Canastota Bee Journal under the title of "It Seems to Me". He was an avid sportsman in baseball and golf. He enjoyed playing golf until he was 95. He enjoyed playing card games and word games every Sunday with his family. He was predeceased by his wife of 76 years, Christine T. Burbank on February 20, 2006. Survivors: daughter, Margery Mozo of Kirkville; daughters and sons-in-law, Selma and Lou Cafarchio of East Syracuse, Toni and Jack Cassella of Minoa and Rita and Dutch Ducharme of North Bay; a son and daughter-in-law, Skip and Jan Burbank of Kirkville; 31 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The 100th descendent is expected in November of this year. Funeral Services: 10:15 a.m. Friday from Eaton-Tubbs-Schepp Funeral Home and 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Minoa. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 7191 E. Genesee St.

September 3, 2007 * Ronald S. Burbank, 46, of Pennellville, died Monday, September 3, 2007, at home. Born in Syracuse, Ron had resided in Pennellville for the last 11 years. He was an architect designer in the IT Department for Excellus Blue Cross-Blue Shield in Syracuse for 12 years. Ron was predeceased by his mother, Pearl Yvonne Burbank, in 1990. Ron is survived by his wife of six years, the former Patricia J. Pollock;a son Ronald; three stepchildren, Samantha, James and Joseph; his father, Robert S. of Brewerton; two sisters, Deborah(Jim) Lewis of Baltimore, MD, and Patricia(Dan) Bullion of Caughdenoy; and two brothers, Robert G.(Julie) of Canastota and John(Bea) of Liverpool."Uncle" Ron also left behind many nieces and nephews that loved him very much. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, September 8, 2007, at WATSON FUNERAL HOME, INC., 631 S. July 29, 2009 * Thomas J. Burbank, 50, of Syracuse, passed away comfortably embraced by loving family and caregivers at Friends of Dorothy House on Wednesday. He was the son of Ralph C. Burbank and the late Theresa (McDonald) Burbank. Tom was a hairstylist for many years, most recently at Hairanoia Salon. Tom is survived by his father, Ralph C. Burbank and his wife, Janet, both of FL; siblings, Margaret Burbank of Liverpool, Mary Kay (Matt) Nellums of GA, Ellen (Jim) Voodre of Minoa, Kathy (Bob) Johnson of Syracuse, and Ginny Quell (James Jones) of Canastota; Edward Burbank of Syracuse, Andrew (Margaret Moon) Burbank of Fayetteville, and Jeff (Debbie) Burbank of Liverpool; nieces and nephews, Nick Casale, Casey Nellums, Alicia (Manuel) Ronquillo, Jamie (Jenny) Voodre, Kim Johnson, Alex Johnson, Samantha Quell, Elizabeth Quell, and Morgan Burbank; one great-nephew, Liam and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Family will welcome friends on Saturday, from 4 to 7 p.m. at FARONE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse. A memorial Mass will be held on Monday, 9 a.m. at St. Matthew's Church, 229 West Yates Street, East Syracuse.

February 23, 2016 * Peace came to Andrew J. Burbank, 52, on Tuesday. He was born and raised in E. Syracuse. Andrew was a graduate of ESM and MVCC. He was an avid hockey fan, fierce pitch player and enjoyed the local music scene.
Andrew was predeceased by his mother, Theresa and brother, Tommy.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Moon; father, Ralph; brothers, Ed and Jeff (Deb); sisters, Maggie (George) Yenoki, Mary Kay (Matt) Nellums, Ellen (Jim) Voodre, Kathy (Bob) Johnson, Ginny Quell; his companion Daniel Fenimore, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the R. H. Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel, 6530 Schepp's Corners Rd. Minoa. A memorial service will follow the calling hours at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank Margaret for supporting Andrew through years of struggle.

August 6, 2016 * Robert "Bob" Stuart Burbank, 84, of Brewerton passed away August 6 at Crouse Hospital.
Bob graduated from Central Square High School in 1950 and enlisted in the Air Force shortly thereafter, completing Radio Communications training.
Bob was a decorated Korean War veteran, receiving an honorable discharge in 1955.
Bob joined GE/Lockheed Martin in 1955 and spent 60 years working in Heavy Military, Consumer Electronics and Radar. He worked part time for many years in Onondaga County as Park Ranger. Bob was Director of Onondaga County Civil Defense in the 1960's.
Bob was predeceased by his wife of 36 years, Yvonne Pearl Burbank in 1990; a sister, Alice "Jean" Wood in 2005; a son, Ronald S. Burbank in 2007 and a grandson, John A. Burbank in 2003.
Bob is survived by 2 daughters, Deborah (Jim) Lewis and Patricia (Dan) Bullion; 2 sons, Robert G. (Julie) Burbank and John C. (Bea) Burbank; 9 grandchildren, Kimberly Lewis; Holly (Mike) Schadt, Christopher, Robby and Adam Burbank; Cassandra, Matthew and Tiffany Bullion; Stephanie and Sofia Burbank and 3 great-grandchildren, Giavanna Racciatti, Brody and Brooke Schadt. Bob also leaves behind his beloved cat Garfield.
Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.

December 3, 2016 * Edward R. Burbank, 61, of Syracuse passed away suddenly Saturday at home. He was born and raised in East Syracuse. After graduating High School Ed proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. Ed had an extreme passion for music. If they were playing in Syracuse, Ed was there.
He was always willing to help anyone in need of an extra hand. He was very proud of being sober for over 23 years.
Ed was predeceased by his mother, Theresa and brothers Tommy, Andrew and stepmom Jan.
Surviving are his father, Ralph; brother, Jeff (Debbie); sisters Maggie (George) Yenoki, MaryKay (Matt) Nellums, Ellen (Jim) Voodre, Kathy (Bob) Johnson, Ginny Quell; sister-in-law, Margaret Moon; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 4-7 pm Friday at the R.H.Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel, 6530 Schepp's Corners Rd., Minoa. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 9:00 am at St. Mary's Church, 401 North Main Street, Minoa.
